"NOADSWOOD STARS DEFEND TEAM TITLE"

New Forest secondary schools competed once again for the individual and team title of Super Stars Winners 2010. This was the second competition of its kind in and numbers increased further from 6 schools in 2009 to all 9 schools in 2010. Over 100 boys and girls from years 7, 8 and 9 took part in this Gifted and Talented competition.

The 2010 event produced some superb performances in every one of the 6 disciplines throughout the day. In the pool early on there were some great displays from all pupils, with 2 particular high performances from both Jess Bishop (Hounsdown) and Dylan Gain (Testwood).

In the afternoons dry-side activities the competition continued to impress with some individual brilliance by Rosie Young (Hardley) and Jules Kay West on the Concept 2 rowers taking a full 18 points from the discipline.

After all the scores were in from each individual category the top 3 finishers were confirmed. These top 3 will progress on to represent the New Forest School Sports Partnership in the JAE County Super Stars Final in July. With each individuals score counting towards the overall team result the event was once again dominated by Noadswood Sports College, finishing with a massive 849 points.

To make this years competition a successful event the NFSSP relies massively on much needed support and expertise. Many thanks to all involved this year, well done all! For a full list of results go to competition section
