This year’s sports hall championships were held at Applemore Recreation centre on Saturday 24th November.
Nine schools entered a total of twelve teams of year five and six boys and girls. Events were divided into three groups of runs throws and jumps. Each child participated in a run, throw and jump plus a relay. Competition was exciting with the sports hall roof nearly coming off with all the noise and cheering, especially during the relays.
Overall winners, Blackfield School won with last years winners Abbotswood finishing runners up.
Equipment was supplied by Abbotswood School and the event was run by many of the young athletes of the New Forest Junior Athletic Club, many thanks once again to their chairman, Tim Wilding, for all his hard work.
