Mini Cross Country Relays Ashley Junior School

This year’s event saw fourteen schools and over 200 children take part in a very fun and competitive festival.

The first race was won by Orchard School (team 16), with Abbotswood School (team 10) finishing second, just in front of Orchard (team 18), with Brockenhurst finishing in 4th (team 1) and Wildground finishing in 5th (team 31).

The second race was won again, by Orchard School (team 16), second were Ashley (team 6), third were Wildground (team 3), fourth were Abbotswood (team 10) and in fifth place were Sway St Lukes (team 5).

The two race results were combined to find the team with the overall lowest points. In joint fourth place were Ashley (team 6) and Brockenhurst (team 1), in second place were Abbotswood (team 10), and in first place were last years winners, Orchard (team 16).

Notable performance were from newcomers Breamore (team 33) who finished in 11th place, Hyde (team 25) finishing in 13th place and Sway St Lukes (team 4) finishing in 14th place.

Well done to all the teams who took part.
