New Forest Primary School Sport: Basketball

Schools came from across the district to compete in this years Primary School Sport Basketball event held at Abbotswood Junior School, Totton.
Basketball is played in only a few schools in the District so it was fantastic to witness such a high standard of play. The format of the competition saw teams compete in two groups of four with the top placed teams playing each other in a grand finale.

Abbotswood Junior School ‘B team’ came out on top with Blackfield Primary School ‘A team’ finishing a close second. Over 60 boys and girls competed in the competition, showing an excellent skill level and were watched by teachers and parents. The event was successfully run by Abbotswood’s PE manager Ian Deeth.

1st Abbotswood B; 2nd Blackfield A; 3rd Blackfield B;
4th Abbotswood A; 5th Ashley A / Abbotswood C; 7th Ashley B; 8th Ashley C.
